Welcome

The Floyd County Humane Society, founded in 1904, has been giving assistance to animals and pet owners by speaking for those that cannot speak for themselves …the animals.

We strive to prevent pet overpopulation by providing county-wide spay and neuter assistance. Providing vouchers to pet owners in Floyd County has helped decrease the New Albany Floyd County Animal Control & Shelter intake to its lowest point in years.

We also provide financial support to the New Albany Floyd County Animal Control & Shelter for staff training as well as tags, collars and microchips for animals going to their forever homes and adoption supplementation.

We are funded solely by private donations and our fundraising efforts.
